A 60-year-old American woman, Jacqueline Bolling Elton, has died in Warri, Delta State, during a visit to see her male companion.
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, Elton arrived in Warri on September 15, 2025, to stay with 39-year-old Alawode Olaide.
On Monday, September 29, at about 3:00 p.m., she reportedly developed sudden health complications and was rushed to a private hospital in Otokutu. She was later transferred to the Central Hospital, Warri, where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival.
Law enforcement authorities were alerted and subsequently visited the residence, taking Olaide into custody for questioning.
Elton’s remains have been deposited at the Central Hospital morgue for autopsy, while the case is expected to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.
