Suicide Is Not An Option

In recent times, many cases of suicides have been reported and deaths prowling on the streets. Many youths, especially students have taken their lives for one reason or the other. Findings attest to the fact that depression is a major cause of suicide. This work seeks to bring hope to the people and aim to preach to the general populace that suicide shouldn’t be an option. There is more to life, even when the going is bad. Don’t take your live, there is more to come.
About The Artist
Ifedilichukwu Chibuike (b. 1986) hails from Akwaeze in Anambra Nigeria. He obtained HND in Fine and Applied Arts from the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu. He is a versatile artist with experience in diverse art practices. He has a passion for upcycling and focus on experimenting with unconventional media. He sees value in discarded and abandoned waste all around us and create artworks which address the importance of the symbiotic existence of humankind and its environs. He has taken part in exhibitions and won numerous awards; the 2017 Sterling Bank Recycle Art Competition, 2018 Life in my City Arts festival… His professional affiliations are Society of Nigeria Artist (SNA) and Pan African Circle of Artists (PACA). He works in his studio presently.
