Unique Ways To Spend Valentine’s Day With Your Significant Other

Tricia Iwuoha

Valentine’s Day is around the corner, it is marked on the 14th day of February every year as one of the most popular celebrations in the world. It is generally known as lovers’ day, a day dedicated to love and romance when people in romantic relationships spend time together, mostly on outdoor activities, and buy gifts for each other, as an expression of love.

Guys, you know that women love when you plan things. When men are thoughtful, it shows that they care and that’s something women absolutely love. So make this love season a memorable one for you and your significant other.

Whether you’re dating or happily married, here are unique ways to spend this Valentine’s Day.

Night Out

With love in the air, there will be lots of hangouts, dinner parties and shows to attend. You and your spouse or partner can spend the night outside your home. Plan for the event you intend to attend and go have some mad fun.

Celebrate At Home

If you and your significant other aren’t caught out for a noisy celebration, you can stay in and have a candlelit dinner at the comfort of your own home, knowing that it’s a good night to be creative.

So, you can cook a unique meal together, get some candles and pick up some good wine and exchange gifts later while listening to some lovely music collections.

You can also make a list of the activities that you and your significant other love to do at home, in order to make the moment more fun. Doesn’t that sound nice? I sure think so!

Couple Spa Treat

Book a couples’ treatment at a spa for the evening. What could be better than getting pampered?

After some minutes of massage heaven, you’ll both be calm, stress-free and in the mood for some late-night fun.

Plan A Game

When was the last time you played a game? I guess it was a long time ago. Instead of getting all dolled up and going out, get comfy and stay in. Take your favorite board games out, put on some pyjamas and have some good old-fashioned innocent fun!

Make A Reservation In A Hotel

Spend the night away in a hotel, even if it’s within your vicinity. It’s a romantic way to spice things up and have some quality alone time. Even though it’s only one night, it’s something lovely to look forward to.

Go See A Movie At The Cinema

If you have the mentality that life is short, now is the time to seize the day, or rather, the night! You can plan to go see a movie you have been longing to see together.

Extend The Love To The Needy

We all know that Valentine’s Day is for lovers but there’s nothing wrong in extending the love to the less privileged ones around you. You and your significant other can make it a date to visit the orphanage homes, spend time with the children and share gifts to them. What a beautiful way to spend this special day!

Host A Party

You can use the evening as an opportunity to entertain. Host a dinner party. Invite couples and singles to the festivity; make it an evening open to everyone, regardless of relationship status.

Remember that the celebration is more about spending quality time with your spouse, than about where and how you choose to spend that time.
