Imo Angels Football Club celebrated the 2022 International Women’s Day in grand style with the theme of the occasion tagged “Grooming the Girl Child For a Sustainable Future With Focus on Footballing and Education”.
The occasion started with a welcome speech by the CEO of Imo Angels Fc, Jenny Anusiem, followed by the Chairman Prince Ferdinand Akano, who gave his opening remark.
Highlights of the event were the presentation of awards to Amb. Samuel Chijioke Anyakamnele and Chief Dr Summers Vitus Nwokie for their immense support toward the growth and development of the football club. Also a university scholarship offered to Miss Patra Oparanmegwa, the Assistant Captain of Imo Angels Fc, by Chief Dr. Summers Vitus Nwokie the CEO of Ikukuoma foundation.
The event took place at Rock View Hotel in Owerri. Personalities in attendance were the Global President IMSU Alumni, Prince Ferdinand Akano, Dr Jude Ohanaele, Emmanuel Okoh, Ahubelem Chizitere, Everest Ezihe, Julius Nnaji, Senior Assistant Electronic Media to Imo State Governor, Amaka Okafor, Senior Assistant Youth Affairs, Eric Uwakwe among others.
