Popular Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, has opened up about the surprising reason behind her hiatus from acting.
In a recent episode of Curiosity Made Me Ask, hosted by content creator Bae U Barbie, the actress disclosed that she stepped away from Nollywood after an anonymous benefactor began paying her a ₦1 million weekly allowance. According to her, the gesture came at a time when she wasn’t earning much from movie roles.
“Someone anonymously put me on a ₦1 million weekly salary because I wasn’t getting paid enough for movie roles. That’s why I took a break from acting. I can’t shoot a movie and not even make up to ₦1 million profit from it,” she explained.
When asked whether the mystery donor remains anonymous, Nkechi swiftly shut down further inquiry, saying, “It’s not your business.”
