It was a bright and cheerful Tuesday morning when the pupils and teachers of St. John’s Primary School, Amamba Uzoagba in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria, welcomed the Hippolyte Foundation for yet another round of its School Feeding and Educational Support Programme.
The initiative, aimed at promoting learning through nutrition and welfare support, brought excitement and gratitude to the entire school community as the foundation’s founder, Ms. Elegance Hippolyte, led her team to the school with food, educational materials, and words of encouragement for the young learners.
The pupils, beaming with joy, sang songs of appreciation and clapped enthusiastically as they received the guests. Addressing the gathering, Ms. Hippolyte expressed delight at the pupils’ high spirits and good health, urging them to remain dedicated to their studies. She reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to supporting children’s education, particularly in rural communities.
As part of the outreach, every pupil was served a nutritious meal, ensuring that no child went hungry. The foundation also distributed “Back to School” packs filled with essential learning materials to motivate the pupils and ease the financial burden on their parents.
One of the event’s major highlights was an interactive health session led by Ms. Hippolyte, focusing on personal hygiene and menstrual health for girls. During the talk, she emphasised the importance of confidence and self-care, while Days for Girls, one of the foundation’s partners, sponsored the distribution of sanitary pads to female pupils.
In appreciation, the Principal and staff of St. John’s Primary School presented a special gift to Ms. Hippolyte – a token of appreciation, commending her for her humanitarian service and unwavering dedication to improving the lives of young learners. The atmosphere was filled with applause and heartfelt gratitude as both pupils and teachers celebrated the moment.
The visit concluded with a lively photo session that captured the joy, unity, and sense of purpose that defined the day.
Through initiatives like this, the Hippolyte Foundation continues to demonstrate that small acts of kindness can create lasting impact. By blending nutrition, education, and empowerment, the foundation is helping children in rural communities dream bigger, learn better, and grow stronger ensuring that no child is left behind.
