American hip-hop legend Trevor Smith Jr., popularly known as Busta Rhymes, has sparked excitement after hinting at plans to relocate to Nigeria and possibly marry a Nigerian woman.
The 53-year-old rapper made the revelation midway into his electrifying performance at the Detty December Fest in Lagos over the weekend.
According to the rap icon, Nigeria holds a special place in his heart, noting that it took him 15 years to finally make the trip.
“I’m looking for a home here. I’m looking for property. I’m thinking about looking for a wife so that when I stop working, I can settle down here,” Busta Rhymes told the cheering crowd.
He added that he plans to move to Nigeria after retiring from music to build a family and settle down.
Despite never being married, the Grammy-nominated rapper is a father of six children with four different women.
