Nigerian socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has alleged that singer Davido’s repeated losses at the Grammy Awards are part of a deliberate attempt to pressure him into conforming to the interests of certain Western music executives.

Cubana Chief Priest made the claim following Davido’s loss to South African singer Tyla in the Best African Music Performance category at the 2026 Grammy Awards held on Sunday.

Reacting in an Instagram post, the socialite suggested that some foreign industry figures were attempting to frustrate the Nigerian superstar in order to influence him to engage in what he described as “demonic” activities. He urged Davido to remain steadfast in his values and refuse to compromise.

Cubana Chief Priest encouraged the singer to move past the Grammy setback, continue releasing music, and keep entertaining his fans.

“Oyibo dey do everything possible to break a strong man so he can do their demonic sh*t with them but he will never do it. Heads up brother, open the bag and drop another hot one for us. E no dey finish, gbedu na water,” he wrote.
