The dignitaries gathered at Noah’s Ark Church, Assemblies of God Church, Ogbor Uvuru, for a thanksgiving service in honour of the celebrant.

In his remarks, Obasanjo praised Akagburuonye for his contributions to the development of his community and urged individuals to live purposeful lives that positively impact society.

“One must have a purpose in life that will bring success. For me, success is measured by the impact you make in society. I encourage you to sustain your good work,” Obasanjo said.

He added that service to humanity is service to God and advised the celebrant to remain steadfast despite challenges that often accompany success.

Jonathan, in his remarks, commended Akagburuonye’s determination, discipline and faith, describing him as a successful entrepreneur who has made significant contributions to society.

“Chief Success reflects determination, discipline and faith. With degrees in engineering and law, he has contributed to housing development, road construction, scholarships and the provision of clean water. He exemplifies participatory leadership,” Jonathan said.

The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God Church, Rev. Abel Amadi, led other clerics in prayers for the celebrant and his family, asking God to grant him continued success and good health.

In his response, Akagburuonye expressed gratitude to the dignitaries and guests for attending the thanksgiving service, assuring them that he would continue to justify the confidence reposed in him.

He recalled his prolonged investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), maintaining that he had always been innocent of any wrongdoing and had now been cleared.

Akagburuonye also expressed joy at hosting former Super Eagles stars in his community, describing it as the fulfilment of a lifelong dream.

A major highlight of the thanksgiving service was a special prayer offered by the celebrant’s 105-year-old mother, Mrs. Monica Akagburuonye, who prayed for long life and success for all present.

Also at the event, Dr. Reuben Abati reviewed Akagburuonye’s biography titled “Me and My God.”
