How To Makeup In Less Than 20 Minutes!

Let’s face it, most people don’t want to spend 30 minutes to an hour on their makeup every morning. At the same time, most of us don’t just wake up flawless. There’s always a scar from acne, spots from pimple or dark circles that needs to be attended to.

This season it’s all about your natural radiance, so you don’t need a lot of products or time to look and feel good. Barely-there makeup is on trend.

Moisturiser The Skin

No matter what your skin type (dry, oily, or combination), it’s important to hydrate both morning and night.

Foundation

After moisturiser and sunscreen, apply your foundation using a beauty blender or foundation brush. Make sure to add product under the jawline and down the neck, so your makeup will look at natural as possible.

 Primer

While you don’t need a primer every day, it really helps keep your makeup on especially on a warm day. A proper primer won’t allow your makeup disappear or set on the surface on the dry areas of the skin and will not separate on the oily areas such as the T-zone.

 Concealer

Using your ring finger (or a concealer brush), gently blend the concealer under the eyes and over any scars or area of discoloration.

 Highlighter

A makeup look isn’t complete without highlighter, either a swipe so blinding you can see it from space or a natural-looking glow. Highlighter can be applied wherever you want to bring attention, like cheekbones although a tip-of-the-nose highlight is trendy but sometimes could be dramatic or unnatural.

Eyeshadow

The light shades similar to your skin tone act as a base while a darker shade creates shape and definition, as well as contours the eye. Shades in between are for the lids to marry the two seamlessly. You can add shimmer to the inner corners of your eyes to make them look big and bright.

Eyeliner

Using liquid or (sharp) pencil eyeliner, start at the middle of the eye and work your way out. Then, create an additional line from the inner eye that gradually thickens to meet the width of the outer portion. If your eyeliner tends to travel during the day, try a waterproof eyeliner.

Mascara

Using your mascara wand, start at roots on the underside of the top lash line, working your way up and out. For bold lashes, apply multiple coats.

Brow Pencil

Place the brow pencil on the side of your nose to distinguish where your brows should start. Using a brow pencil that’s a few of shades lighter than your hair, fill in your brows in short strokes, so the pencil isn’t easily distinguishable from your natural hair.

Setting Powder / Spray

For long-lasting makeup, apply setting powder or  setting spray, or both depending on your skin type and how long you need your makeup to stay especially the T-zone (where we tend to be the oiliest). Pressed powders add slightly more coverage, allowing for a polished, matte makeup look. For a bare skin look, opt for a setting spray, which will set makeup without adding a powdered finish. Setting spray is also great for midday touchups.

Lipstick

The order of the lip products is what is most important here. First comes the lip liner, then lipstick and you finish with lip gloss.
